The Olde Country Winery gets licensed (#20110472) by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture for Minnesota Grown. Yeah!

The Olde Country Winery finally has the world's largest bottle put in place and the trees cut so it stands alone as a beacon of hope. The wine bottle is 36 feet tall and weighs over 3,000 pounds thanks to the steel & fiberglass supporting it.

Irv Moen & Olde Country Winery & Vineyards are featured in a new book called Wineries of Wisconsin & Minnesota. It's written by Patricia Monaghan of DePaul University and Published by The Minnesota Historical Society Press. Very cool news! See page 90-92 for all the details, including quotes by Irv Moen.
Irv even made sure Robert Mondavi was included in the history of Minnesota wines. Robert is a native of Virginia, Minnesota and is a famous wine maker. The Mondavi family moved from Italy to Virginia, Minnesota and they made their first wines in Virginia before moving to California.
